Who is behind Wear Bahari?

One half - Kalina. The other half - Mery. Two friends, one shared dream. Because before Wear Bahari was a brand, it was exactly that - a vision of a perfect beach life.

Both of us have always carried the soul of the citizens of the sea — imagining a life built around the ocean long before it felt possible. Somewhere along the way, that dream became real.

A life of salt on the skin, breeze in the hair, and days measured by winds and tides instead of time - at the end of the day we are both kite surfers.

Now, our lives flow between a campsite on the Black Sea coast and the shores of the Indian Ocean on Zanzibar island. On one coast a mom of two, juggling drawing prints in the very few quiet moments she has and giving the best childhood possible to two little souls. On the other shore a girl trying to change the image of women in water sports, showing that everything is possible, no matter your size.

Wear Bahari is an extension of us and that imaginary life, we started talking about as kids but never knew it was actually possible.

This is the clearest reflection of our friendship.

Our passion for water sports.

Our commitment to creating with respect for nature. Not made for the ocean. Made from it.

Everything we design comes from the experience of being in the water, not just inspired by it. And love for function, sustainability and women supporting women. Or should we say people supporting people, as this journey has always been full of our friends being part of every step while we built. Because we believe that the most secure (and fun) way up is with them.
